"The Picture of Dorian Gray" von Oscar Wilde

"The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde

adapted for the stage by Alan Burgon

Open House Theatre presents Oscar Wilde's famous novel in a new adaptation for the stage.
Dorian Gray is a handsome young man. But when his friend Lord Henry introduces the actress Sybil Vane to him, he begins a descent into a life of heartless debauchery. He remains both young and beautiful, but his portrait mysteriously ages and divulges his dark secrets.
'The Picture of Dorian Gray' was considered proof of both Wilde’s genius and his perversion. The gloomy opulence of late-Victorian London provides the backdrop for a contemporary interpretation of this scandalous bestseller, which is more relevant than ever, as we watch society chase the dream of eternal youth and beauty.
